We’re here for you

RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Posted: June 1, 2020 at 12:00 pm

We’re all in this together. A crisis like COVID-19 affects us all. We want you to know through all of this, we are here for you. Our commitment to you goes beyond financial services. One of our top priorities as your Credit Union is the safety and well-being of members like you, our employees and the community. In light of the COVID-19 situation, we’ve taken measures to better serve our community.

We’re Here To Serve – Branch Operations Updates

We understand your need to meet in-person when it comes to your finances and that is why we have reopened our lobbies effective Monday, May 18th. Our team is working hard behind the scenes to ensure the safety and well-being of both you and our employees. We have put a great deal of thought and care into preparing our lobbies for your visit. While the way we do business may look a little different, the way we care for our members will remain the same.

As we transition to more normal business practices, we will have a maximum of five (5) members within the lobbies at a time. We would like to remind you that you are still able to complete most transactions through the drive-thru and you can also utilize our digital services for quick and stress-free access to your Credit Union of Georgia accounts.

During our initial reopening phase, we will be taking the following safety precautions:

  • Requiring staff to wear protective masks.
  • Installing Plexiglas dividers at each teller station and distance markers on the floor to ensure physical distancing.
  • Limiting our lobbies to five (5) members visiting at a time.
  • Implementing a cleaning schedule to make sure all surfaces, especially high touch areas will be sanitized regularly throughout the day.
  • Requesting members NOT enter the branches if they are feeling symptomatic.
  • Continuing to allow members to schedule appointments online to guarantee a time to meet with a representative.
Click HERE to schedule an appointment.

We will continue to closely monitor the Coronavirus trends and will adhere to information and recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

We’re Here To Protect- Beware Of Scams

During these times of uncertainty, fraudsters have become more active and have already been quick to deploy scams to take advantage of others during these already stressful times. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) Scam Tracker has received several reports of Coronavirus scams where individuals are contacted through text messages, social media post/messages or phone calls. As a reminder, government agencies do not communicate through social media outlets and they will never request an advance processing fee. Fraudsters may also attempt to scam individuals into providing account numbers under the pretense of direct depositing a stimulus check into your account. Credit Union of Georgia will never contact you via email, phone or text message requesting sensitive information.

Don’t become a victim, LEARN MORE about the latest Scams.

Please be vigilant, if something doesn’t seem right, it probably isn’t.
